On May 4th of this year we had the privilege of designing florals for Shay and Taylor at Prescott’s finest, StoneRidge Golf Course. From the stunning green and cream floral designs, to their vendors and their loving excitement towards each other and all their guests; this wedding day was unlike any other!
Their photographer, Jerrae, talks about how much this couple adores each other and that their day “had love in every detail,” and that “wedding days like theirs don’t come along very often.” Jerrae Wilson has been a phenomenal photographer for 7 years and loves that this is what she gets to do. Being a wife and mom of four, she’s used to being behind the lens documenting her family. But one day that passion naturally transitioned into documenting other people’s lives too.
She loves that on a couple’s most special day, she is chosen to spend the most amount of time with them. Her favorite moment at Shay and Taylor’s wedding is when Shay was approaching Taylor for their first look and her excitement got the better of her. She yelled out to her almost-husband, “TAYLOR!” and he turned around earlier than they had planned. She said their expressions were filled with joy and at that moment she truly witnessed how special they are.
StoneRidge Golf Course is a stunning getaway from the regular desert venues in Arizona. Completely nestled in the beauty that is Prescott Valley, the view at Shay and Taylor’s wedding was unlike any other. Along with the stunning views, the weather was absolutely perfect! To top it off, me and my fabulous team shipped in Oregon Cherry Blossoms, White Lisianthus, White Spray Roses, and Jasmine Vine. Shay particularly loved the use of mixed greens throughout the design process. Each chair along the aisle pathway had a cluster of greenery along with the organza material. This consistent color scheme of greens, creams and touches of gold set the most romantic mood for all of their guests.
Sloane Hansen, owner and head planner at Events by Sloane, loved being able to help Shay and Taylor plan their wedding! After 23 amazing years in this industry, she opened her own planning company in January 2019. That daring change and lifelong dream was accompanied by the privilege of becoming the Event Development Manager for the Prescott Club at StoneRidge.
It was such a treat to work up in Prescott again, it’s been many years for me! The views from Shay and Taylor’s wedding were truly remarkable and ones that I will never forget. I can’t wait and hope to design many weddings at StoneRidge in the near future.
